Schedule of temporary services of the Ministry of Health due to the COVID-19 outbreak

Due to the recent increase in active cases of COVID-19, the Department of Health (DOH) is taking preventative measures to reduce the spread of the virus. In-person services throughout the territory will be temporarily reduced. Below is the list of schedule changes to Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

  • Environmental Health Division

The Office of Environmental Health will be closed to the public.

The division will operate regular business hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8:30 a.m. and noon with virtual services available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on these days.

Document processing will take place on Tuesday and Thursday, with the office closed to the public.

  • Community health clinic services

Customers are called by phone to reschedule appointments at Sainte-Croix.

In St. Thomas, only emergency patients will be seen at the St. Thomas prenatal and wound care clinics. All other patients are reprogrammed.

  • Community vaccination centers

The Sainte-Croix community vaccination center in Sainte-Croix will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., every day of the week. It’s located at the Nissan Center in Sainte-Croix, which is in La Grande Princesse, next to the Honda dealership and The Paint Shop on the same side of the street as Food Town.

In St. Thomas, the community vaccination center will continue to be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This center is located at the Community Health Clinic on the 2nd Floor, Schneider Regional Medical Center.

As always, the public is advised to make an appointment for COVID-19 testing at when symptoms are present.

The public will be notified when the Department of Health resumes its normal operating hours.
