Webinars Iris Ceramica Group Health, Environment and Well-being Active ceramic surfaces
“Today’s new lifestyles demand new types of products. The growing appreciation of the importance of the environment inside and outside the home, office and public places is leading to new ways of using materials. The past will not come back, and the future belongs to those who innovate in their way of thinking and therefore their way of working,” noted Romano Minozzi, founder of the Iris Ceramica Group, a world leader in the design, production and distribution of quality ceramics for residential, commercial and industrial projects, briefly summarizing the spirit in which the group pursues its corporate mission in all areas, including the new online communication and education.

July 23: Ceramic and Indoor Air Quality. Solutions and features for well-being and sustainability, languages: English and German
September 23: Ceramic and Indoor air quality. Solutions and features for well-being and sustainability, language: Italian – seminar offering professional development credits for architects.
The subject of the webinars is indoor air quality and ceramic surfaces. Beginning by examining the causes, types and amounts of pollutants emitted by building materials, the seminar focuses on solutions to reduce the amount of indoor pollution with benefits for environmental sustainability, cost reduction, and welfare. -to be at the house. The spotlight will be on ACTIVE SURFACES, the new photocatalytic ceramic tiles, the only ones to be really effective in several respects: anti-pollutant (purify the air), antibacterial (eliminating 99.99% of bacteria), anti-odor (odor removal), self-cleaning (reducing the use of chemical cleaning products, which are not only expensive but harmful to humans and the environment); and contribute to obtaining LEED and WELL platinum, BREAM and LBC certifications because they respect the parameters of environmental sustainability and help improve air quality. The webinar will also focus on important innovations related to research in the field of ACTIVE SURFACES since 2010. The Iris Ceramica Groupphotocatalytic ceramic tiles, developed in close collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, University of Milan, can now boast two European patents: the one published on December 23, 2010, concerning the use of micrometric titanium dioxide, and another published on February 5, 2020 concerning the combination of titanium dioxide and silver to increase the photocatalytic properties of the material even in the presence of LED light, allowing ACTIVE SURFACES to exert its antibacterial action even in the dark.
